Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
AQC is published by the developer named on this app's App Store and Google Play listings. The publisher's legal name, address and contact details are the ones shown there.
AQC is a workplace app. Accounts are created and issued by your employer; you cannot register yourself, and the app cannot be used without an account. Your employer decides what is recorded, who may see it, and how long it is kept.
2. What we collect
- Your work account — your username, and the tokens that keep you signed in. Your password is never stored on your device and we keep no copy of it.
- The work you record — the vehicle and its VIN, the production stage, task and crew, defects and their categories, inspection outcomes, and the date and time. These records identify you as the person who made them, because attributable quality work is their purpose.
- Photos, video and voice notes you choose to capture of vehicles and defects.
- A push notification token for your installation, with the platform and app version, so alerts can reach this device.
- Technical and diagnostic information — app version, operating-system family, your employer's organisation identifier, and server logs of requests and responses, which can include your username and the content of records you submit.
3. What we do not collect
AQC does not request or use your location, read your contacts, calendar, messages or files, or read any advertising identifier. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell your information or share it for anyone's advertising.
4. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Camera | To photograph or film vehicles and defects as part of a record. |
| Microphone | To record a short voice note describing a defect, when you start one. |
| Notifications | To alert you when work reaches you. |
| Face ID / Touch ID / biometric unlock | To unlock the app instead of retyping your password. The check is performed by your device; AQC never receives biometric data. |
You can refuse or withdraw the camera, microphone and notification permissions in your device settings. Refusing camera or microphone disables the parts of the app that need them; refusing notifications means alerts appear only inside the app.
5. How it is used
Only to operate the service: recording and reviewing assembly and quality-control work, attributing it correctly, notifying the right person, supporting the reporting your employer uses, and diagnosing faults. We do not use it for marketing or for automated decisions about you.
6. Who it is shared with
- Your employer — its authorised staff can see what was recorded and by whom.
- Apple and Google, to deliver push notifications: the registration identifier for your installation and the notification's content.
- Our service providers — hosting, file storage and logging — acting on our instructions and bound to protect the information to the same standard.
- Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
That is the complete list. There are no data brokers and no advertising partners.
7. How long it is kept
Work records are kept for as long as your employer's record-keeping requirements demand, and are deleted on your employer's instruction. Notification tokens are discarded when the installation stops responding, or when you sign out or uninstall. Sign-in tokens on your device are removed when you sign out or uninstall. Server logs are kept for a limited diagnostic period and then discarded.
8. How it is protected
Traffic between the app and the server travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Sign-in tokens are held in your device's protected credential storage — the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore — rather than in ordinary app storage. Access to records on the server is restricted by role.
9. Your rights, and deleting your data
Subject to applicable law — including Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 where it applies — you may ask to access the personal information held about you, ask for correction of anything inaccurate, ask how it is used and who receives it, and withdraw consent for processing that relies on it, for example by turning off a permission.
AQC accounts are issued and withdrawn by your employer, so the app offers no self-service account deletion: an individual cannot delete a work record the employer is required to keep. To have an account closed, or personal information reviewed or removed, contact your employer's HR or data protection contact, or the developer contact shown on the store listing, and we will pass the request on. We will respond within 30 days.
Uninstalling the app removes the sign-in tokens and any queued items held on your device and stops notifications reaching it. It does not delete records already submitted to your employer.
If you are not satisfied you may complain to the relevant authority — in Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Commissioner.
10. Children
AQC is a workplace application for employed adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above and publish the new version at this address. Material changes will be communicated through your employer.
